PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a woman was shot in the face inside her home in Hunting Park.

Now, a manhunt is on for two gunmen.

The men fled in an unknown direction early Monday morning, leaving behind a 22-year-old woman who was shot in the face.

Apparently the woman answered the door to her home on the 4100 block of North Franklin Street around 4 a.m. and was shot at point-blank range.

Detectives searched the woman's home for clues early Monday as family members of the woman gathered outside. Police say they're talking to at least three witnesses who were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

"There were other people inside the house that were witnesses -- either heard something or saw something -- and they're being interviewed by East Detectives division," explained a police officer at the scene. "If you were to ask me, 'Is [the victim] going to make it?' I don't know. Fortunately for her, it was a small caliber bullet."

The victim is being treated at Temple University Hospital, where she is reportedly in critical condition.

There is no word on a motive.
