Philadelphia police are continuing to investigate after a woman was found dead in the backyard of a Kensington property on Aug. 30.

Investigators originally believed the woman had been shot in the right side of her neck before she was found at around 9:45 a.m. in a backyard on the 2500 block of North Front Street Saturday.

Since then, the medical examiner's office determined the woman did not actually suffer a gunshot wound after examining the woman's body, police said on Tuesday.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Tiffany Niehorster, adding that no arrests have been made, nor has a motive been uncovered.
