Dozens Hurt In Western Pennsylvania As Snow Causes Multiple Pileups

ERIE, Pa. (CBS) -- Snow in the western part of Pennsylvania led to multiple crashes Friday.

A crash on I-90 in Erie left 15 people hurt.

That crash involved at least 13 vehicles and was blamed on lake effect snow.

Further down I-90, a 75-car pileup shut down the interstate and it remained closed in both directions for more than 12 hours.

Officials say at least 20 people were hurt.

Further north, the National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning in parts of New York, near Buffalo.

Snow totals in some areas have totaled in excess of one foot, with more snow expected throughout the weekend.
