Weather: Soggy Monday Before Another Big Chill

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A steady, soaking rain for much of the Delaware Valley on this 3rd Monday in November.

Steady rain this morning will continue for areas north and west of Philadelphia, with a bit of a break by the shore. Heading into the afternoon, the rain will begin filling in everywhere across the region, but on the positive side, it will be a much milder day, with highs in the upper 50s for much of the region. Otherwise, it'll be a great day to just stay inside, if you can. Check that, it'll be a great week to stay inside.

The rest of the week will feature an inverse relationship; as the rain moves away and dry weather moves in, those temperatures are going to plummet! Lows tomorrow morning will likely fall into the upper 20s, the kind of things you expect to hear in December and January!

A raw, biting wind will not help on Tuesday. It's not often you can forecast wind chill values in the single digits and teens before Thanksgiving, but that will be the case especially for the first half of tomorrow.

Wednesday will be another bright and cold day, thankfully without the wind.

Conditions look to be dry through the weekend, with temperatures moderating into the 40s. The long term temperature outlook into next week looks to be much milder, with 30 and 40 somethings being replaced with 50s and 60s.
