VP Nominee Tim Kaine To Make First Appearance On 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' Thursday, Aug. 25

NEW YORK, NY (CBS) -- Vice Presidential nominee and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine will make his first appearance on THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT on Thursday, August 25 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Elected to the United States Senate in 2012, Senator Kaine was selected as Hillary Clinton's running mate in the 2016 presidential race on June 22. A former missionary and civil rights attorney, Kaine has spent more than two decades in public service and is one of only 30 people to have served as a Mayor, Governor and Senator.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, a production of The Late Show Inc., airs weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart are the executive producers.
