Two Bodies Found Inside Burning Vehicle In Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies early Saturday morning inside a burning minivan in the city's Frankford section.

Firefighters were called to the 4600 block of Trenton Avenue shortly before 4:00 a.m. Saturday for reports of a car fire.

Police say crews extinguished the fire quickly and found two bodies inside the vehicle. Police were then called to the scene, and they ruled the deaths as suspicious.

Officials say it could be some time before they're able to identify the victims in this case. They say they were burned badly enough that even identifying what gender they are is proving difficult so far.

Homicide Detectives have taken over this case and are investigating.
