Top 8 All-Time Philly Athletes To Go To Dinner With
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was in studio with Angelo Cataldi and the WIP Morning Show about a week ago. Cataldi asked Christie who he would want to go to dinner with if he had the choice between President Obama, Bruce Springsteen, and Tony Romo. Christie put Obama third, and explained why, but that got me to thinking.
Which Philadelphia athletes would be the most fun to go to dinner with? Here are top-eight, in descending order.
8. Chase Utley
I know what you're thinking: 'Why is Utley on this list? He's boring.' Maybe, but for me, Utley is my all-time favorite Philadelphia athlete, a guy that plays baseball harder and smarter than anyone I have ever seen. And it's not like he doesn't like to have a good time (World F'in Champs, cough cough).

7. Brian Dawkins
This one is completely out of respect. I just want one meal to thank B-Dawk for everything he has done for Philadelphia and maybe get his first person account on the Eagles not re-signing him, if he's willing.

6. Bobby Clarke
Probably the greatest hockey player to ever don the orange and black sweater. Just an absolute competitor who wore his heart on his sleeve and lead the Flyers to their first two, and only two, Stanley Cup Championships. Plus, he is currently the Flyers Senior Vice President and he has a little Eric Lindros story that would be interesting.

5. Jeff Carter and/or Mike Richards
I just need to know. I need to know what happened. Flyers traded them and then they go to the Los Angeles Kings and win two cups in three seasons. Are you kidding me? I'll never get over it. I need to know the story of what happened, and maybe a couple Sea Isle tales too.

Oh, Pat the Bat. The stories this guy has about playing here and partying in Philadelphia, can you imagine? Wouldn't mind reliving the 2008 season either.

Who's better than Chuck? The dinner would probably never end. No one tells better stories than Barkley and he's one of, maybe the, best sports personality on TV today. I'm thinking a nice steak dinner, some red wine, and then we hit the casinos. Blackjack with Chuck would be a dream come true.

I'd probably have to pick up the tab, but it would be worth it. I have so many questions for 'The Answer', I wouldn't even know where to begin. I think I just miss him.

1. Wilt Chamberlain
I never got to see Wilt play, but man, I wish I did. Wilt played in the Philadelphia Public League (at Overbrook) in the 1950's and I played in the Philadelphia Public League (at George Washington) in the 2000's. Wilt was a bellhop in the Catskill Mountains and my high school senior class trip was to the Catskill Mountains. Needless to say, we would hit it off. We're like two peas in a pod.
