Summer League Highlights: Ben Simmons Drops 18 Vs. Bulls

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After three straight games of highlighting his passing ability, Ben Simmons changed his mentality a bit in summer league game No. 4.

Simmons scored 18 points on Sunday night in a loss against the Chicago Bulls in Las Vegas, hitting 7 of 13 shots and 4 of his 5 free-throws.

Just one night after Simmons flirted with a triple-double (10 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists) taking just eight shots in a buzzer-beating loss to D'Angelo Russell and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sixers first overall pick had just three rebounds and two assists on Sunday.

In four summer league games Simmons is averaging 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 14-38 FG (36.8-percent) and 14-21 FT (66.7-percent).

Next up: The Sixers take on the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. E.T. on Tuesday.
