Students Get Second Chance At High School Graduation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Hundreds of students from around the Delaware Valley who dropped out or were at risk of dropping out of school get a second chance to graduate from high school.

Kamiyyah Rayford from Philadelphia did her schooling with the Camelot Education program and is one of their Second Chance graduates.

She says Camelot is just what she needed to get her life on the right track.

"Home school, it was bad. I didn't care. I didn't care about many things, but now I'm valedictorian of my graduation," said Rayford.

Kamiyyah says she's forever in debt to the teachers who never gave up on her.

"The dedication of the staff really pushed me. They are like a family. They are very involved. Everybody pushes to do what they gotta do," she said.

Kamiyyah says she plans on going to the military and wants to become a lawyer.
