Stormy And Steamy For The Weekend

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Friday will begin with some patchy fog, especially at and near the shore, where it could be locally dense.

A persistent easterly wind will keep clouds around most of the day, but with any sun in the afternoon, temperatures will rise into the upper 70's, and in some spots, 80 degrees.

Once the warm gets underway, it will hold through early next week.

High temperatures will be around 80 degrees both Saturday and Sunday.

However, Saturday looks unsettled. There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms possible in the morning, and again in the afternoon with a front passing.

Mother's Day will be partly sunny and pleasant. Morning temperatures will rise quickly through the 60s for the Race for the Cure Sunday morning.

By the afternoon, the temperature will rise to 80 degrees. Great weather for mom!

Monday skies will remain partly sunny, the high 83.

The heat will peak Tuesday with a high of 84 degrees.

Have a great weekend!

Kathy
