Serious Crash Shuts Down Kelly Drive

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Three people were injured in a crash that shut down a portion of Kelly Drive Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at about 8:30 a.m. on the Kelly Drive near Brewery Hill Road.

According to authorities, at least three people were injured in the crash that involved three cars.

The three were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in unknown conditions.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene where it showed emergency workers removing the roof of one of the cars involved in the crash.

A second, un-related, crash happened on the Kelly Drive near the Girard Avenue Bridge. The multi-vehicle accident caused extensive damage to at least two vehicles.

Traffic was forced to detour between Sedgley Drive and Fountain Green Drive.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
