SEPTA Offering Refund Options For Some Regional Rail Customers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – SEPTA says it is offering two refund options for Regional Rail customers who purchased a July TrailPass or Cross County Pass.

The announcement comes after SEPTA said it is reducing a third of its fleet due to defective equipment on their Silverliner V vehicles.

With the first option, customers may receive a full fare refund if they purchased one of the following: Weekly TrailPass (all Zones) valid for the week of July 4; July Monthly TrailPass (all Zones); Weekly Cross County Pass valid for the week of July 4 or a July Monthly Cross County Pass.

SEPTA says to be eligible for the refund, the pass must be returned to SEPTA by US Mail and postmarked by Thursday, July 7 to the following address:

SEPTA asks that customers note Silverliner V Pass Refund on the envelope.

For the second refund option, SEPTA says customers can receive a fare credit good for a future pass by presenting their July TrailPass or Cross County Pass at any of the major SEPTA Sales Offices.

The fare credit will be valid toward the purchase of a future pass beginning July 11 through October 10.
