Police: Student Taken Into Custody After Starter Pistol Found At High School

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A student was taken into custody after police found a starter pistol at a Philadelphia high school Wednesday afternoon.

Police say W.B. Saul High School at 7100 Henry Avenue was placed on lockdown shortly after 1 p.m. because someone said they saw a gun.

Police say a starter pistol was found and a student was taken into custody.

The lockdown was lifted around 3:15 p.m.

The student has not been charged at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
