NJDOT spokesman Steve Schapiro says most plow drivers had finished their work by mid-afternoon, but other crews are not off the hook:

"We are keeping our spreading contractors and DOT forces activated. They're patrolling and monitoring the roadways, and keeping an eye on those temperatures, to make sure that we are out there in case of any refreezing on the roads later this afternoon or tonight."

Now, Schapiro says, they're looking ahead to the next storm's arrival Sunday night:

"We have our forecast, we start monitoring that forecast, it's update continually. If the road conditions are dry, and we know it's going to be a colder event starting with snow, we'll make sure that the roads are pretreated in advance."

If you'll be driving, Schapiro asks that you do your part to keep the roads safe, by taking your time.
