Police Try To Identify Murder Victim Found Beaten In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are trying to identify a murder victim found overnight in Kensington.

Police responded to a call for a "person with a gun" just after 1:30 a.m. near East Clementine Street and Kensington Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a woman on the highway.

Police say she had been beaten on the head with an unidentified object.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead a couple hours later.
