Man Assaults, Robs 2 People During Home Invasion In Spring Garden Apartment, Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a man involved in a home invasion in Philadelphia's Spring Garden neighborhood on Friday. The incident happened just after 10;30 p.m. on the 1500 block of Mount Vernon Street.

Police say the suspect entered the apartment through a kitchen door on the first floor and then assaulted a man and woman inside the residence.

Both victims were taken to nearby hospitals in stable condition.

The suspect took a backpack and a green bag before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction, according to police.
