Philly Vice Squad Arrests 3 in Sting Operations

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Three people have been arrested this week in connection with the illegal operation of massage parlors.
The city vice unit arrested 43-year-old Irina Bogdanova of Trevose, Pa. yesterday, inside a business on Geiger Road in the Far Northeast. Authorities say an undercover officer was solicited by Bogdanova at that location. She is charged with prostitution and related crimes.
On Wednesday, an undercover officer contacted a female through a web page, and met the woman inside the Ramada Inn on Roosevelt Boulevard, just south of Bennett Road. According to police, the officer was then solicited by 31-year-old Jamie Barrera, of Mayfair. She is charged with prostituion and related crimes.
Officers also arrested 29-year-old Omar Alvarado, of North Philadelphia. They say he showed up at the Ramada Inn room with 54 packets of crack cocaine and $400. He is charged with possession of illegal drugs with intent to deliver.
