Phillies Jayson Nix Outrighted To Lehigh Valley, Freddy Galvis Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies have outrighted utility infielder, Jayson Nix, to Lehigh Valley (AAA). Nix, who is 6-39 (.154) with the Phillies this season, has the option to become a free agent.

The Phillies host Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels for a short two-game series beginning on Tuesday night. The Phillies will make a corresponding roster move to replace Nix before Tuesday's game.

Also, infielder Freddy Galvis sustained a fractured left clavicle during Sunday's game in Lehigh Valley and his recovery timetable has not been determined.
