Philadelphia Police Hunting For Busy Store Burglar Caught on Tape

By Suzanne Monaghan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say is responsible for six commercial burglaries over the past two months.

Detectives say the suspect has covered a lot of ground, striking in several areas of the city including the Girard Estates, Point Breeze, South Philadelphia, Chinatown, and Washington Square neighborhoods.

And, they say, he's burglarized a variety of businesses.

The first was May 12th, at a Cricket cell phone store on Snyder Avenue.  The most recent was this past Friday night, at Paolo Pizzeria, 1336 Pine Street, in center city.

The suspect has also hit two Chinese restaurants, a Rita's Water Ice store, and Flying Fish Seafood.

But investigators have a lot of surveillance video captured from five of the burglaries, so they're hoping the public can help identify the suspect.
