Philadelphia Pastry Chef Named One Of The 5 Best In The Country By Food & Wine

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Congratulations are in order for a Philadelphia pastry chef.

Samantha Kincaid – of Old City's Fork, High Street on Market and a.kitchen and a.bar at AKA Rittenhouse – has been named one of the Best New Pastry Chefs in America by Food & Wine.

The magazine's editors reportedly tasted desserts from chefs all across the country before selecting the five finalists, who will be featured in the December 2014 issue of the magazine.

Kincaid was apparently chosen for her Bittersweet Almond dessert, which includes bitter almond cream, roasted nectarines and homemade amaretti cookies.

The magazine hits newsstands on Nov. 14, 2014.
