Lockdown Lifted At Phila. High School Following Report Of Weapon In Building

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A lockdown at a local high school has been lifted following the report of a possible weapon inside of the building.

Thomas Edison High School in the Feltonville neighborhood of the city was placed on lockdown around 10:50 a.m.

Philadelphia Police say the action was taken after a report of a student bringing a weapon into the school.

Authorities are currently searching the building.

Police say the lockdown was lifted just after 12 p.m.
