Pennsylvania Supreme Court Unseals Orders On Attorney General Office's Porn Emails

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has unsealed documents related to Attorney General Kathleen Kane's investigation of a scandal involving pornographic emails, emails her defense claims could show her innocence.

The unsealed documents seem to show there are no legal barriers preventing the Attorney General's office from releasing the so-called "possibly pornographic" images and emails.

They say the protective order from a lower court judge wasn't intended to restrict "appropriate public disclosure" but instead to "prevent intimidation, obstruction or retaliation."

An attorney representing Kane says they welcome the order, as they expect public disclosure will occur in Kane's defense of charges against her, which include perjury and obstruction of justice for an alleged grand jury leak.
