NJ TRANSIT Suspends Service At New York's Penn Station Following Amtrak Train Derailment

NEW YORK (CBS) -- NJ TRANSIT has suspended its service in and out of New York's Penn Station after an incident with an Amtrak train.

Officials say an Amtrak Acela Express train derailed around 9 a.m. while pulling out of the station.

The train clipped the side of a NJ TRANSIT train that was arriving.

Authorities say all the passengers got off the affected trains safely and no major injuries were reported.

Amtrak says customers can expected delayed service in and out of Penn Station.
