PATCO Riders Face Emergency Schedule Change

By Tim Jimenez

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) -- PATCO riders could faced some issues during the Monday morning rush.

PATCO was running a special emergency schedule.

Crews were cleaning up after a piece of machinery derailed overnight.

PATCO said customers should give themselves some extra time as they had to change departure times.

All of this because of what happened near the Woodcrest Station in Cherry Hill. It was there where PATCO says a knuckleboom loader, which is used for lifting railroad ties, derailed at around 1 o'clock Monday morning.

Officials say there were two workers operating the loader, they had to be checked out at the hospital but they have since been released.

No passengers or trains were involved.

But as crews continue to cleanup, PATCO will be on a special emergency schedule.
