Nor'easter Soaking New Jersey; Ocean City Schools Closed

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS/AP) -- Heavy rain from a Nor'easter is soaking parts of New Jersey, raising the threat of coastal flooding.

A coastal flood warning is in effect from Middlesex to Cape May counties. Forecasters say moderate coastal flooding is expected during Tuesday morning's high tide, especially from Atlantic City to Cape May.

As a result of the rain, winds and potential tidal flooding, all schools in the Ocean City School District are closed Tuesday.

A wind advisory is calling for gusts of 50 to 55 mph through most of the day in parts of the state.

Motorists are urged to slow down.

Scattered power outages have been reported throughout the state.

NJ Transit buses and trains are cross-honoring tickets.
