Motorcycle Ride Held To Honor Fallen Philadelphia Police Sergeant Wilson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A motorcycle ride was held Thursday night to show support for fallen Philadelphia Police Sergeant Robert Wilson III.

Sergeant Wilson was shot and killed inside of a video game store in North Philadelphia on March 5.

The ride began at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 5 in Northeast Philadelphia.

Chopper 3 over the scene showed hundreds of motorcycles en route to the 22nd police district where Sergeant Wilson worked.

Police say the 30-year-old Wilson, an eight-year veteran of the force, leaves behind two children.

Philadelphia Police say members of its department have established a trust fund for the family of Sergeant Wilson.
