Man Charged In Connection With Multiple Alleged Thefts, Burglaries In Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police say a 23-year-old man has been charged for multiple alleged thefts in several communities in Delaware.

Authorities say over the past two weeks, the communities of Penndrew Manor, Delpark Manor, Videre Woods and Klair Estates have reported multiple thefts from vehicles and burglaries of sheds.

Police say some of the items reported stolen include lawn equipment, power washers and chainsaws.

Police say through an investigation, a suspect description was developed.

Officers learned that a white male driving a pick-up truck was seen in the area during the incidents.

The potential suspect was identified as 23-year-old Paul Lally, of Wilmington.

Police say they executed a search warrant at Lally's residence and located numerous pieces of stolen property from the burglaries.

Detectives located Lally and took him into custody.

Police say he has been charged with one count of burglary in the second degree, five counts of burglary in the third degree, four counts of felony theft and seven counts of misdemeanor theft.

Lally was arraigned and issued a $21,000 bail.
