Man Accused Of Armed Robbery Of Rite Aid In Camden County Arrested

GLOUCESTER Twp. NJ (CBS) -- Authorities in Camden County say a man accused of robbing a Rite Aid in Gloucester Township has been apprehended.

Officials say 39-year-old John Tracy, of Gloucester Township, is accused of robbing the Rite Aid on the 1400 block of Chews Landing Road around 9:40 a.m. Monday.

He allegedly held up the pharmacist with a gun and fled the scene with prescription medication.

Authorities say Tracy was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Gloucester Township Police Department at a hotel on the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike in Blackwood Wednesday evening.

Officials say he is charged with robbery, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm at another person, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Authorities say he was remanded to the Camden County Jail on $200,000 bail.
