Lane Johnson Expected To Play Vs. Lions

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Lane Johnson situation continues.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson expects to have Johnson for the team's Week 5 matchup at the Detroit Lions.

"It's kind of a strange deal," Pederson said of Johnson's potential pending suspension. "Week to week we just go that route and Big V [Halapoulivaati Vaitai] or Allen [Barbre] or whoever we end up putting over there, but right now it's Lane Johnson at right tackle."

The Eagles' fourth-year right tackle was expected to be suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's PED policy for the second time in as many seasons, per a report in August.

Johnson had an appeals hearing on Tuesday and the league has not yet released any official wording on a suspension.

Johnson's agent released this statement on Tuesday evening.
