Lane Johnson Says He 'Really Doesn't Know' If Chip Kelly Will Return To Eagles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Lane Johnson might feel like he put his foot in his mouth when he made a comment regarding Eagles fans and how their temperament at Lincoln Financial Field has zapped the place of its status as a home-field advantage for the Birds.

Johnson apologized for the comments on Twitter and joined the The Josh Innes Show to shed light on the situation and to clarify what was said.

The Eagles' struggles on the season, which have led to a disappointing 4-6 record, have led to the environment in the stadium that Johnson was attempting to explain. He also explained that more losing will more than likely lead to some changes.

"Definitely, there needs to be a change in these next six games because if there's not, there's going to be a lot of changes around here I believe," Johnson said.

Josh Innes asked Johnson what he felt about whether or not Chip Kelly would be back next season if the Eagles' woes continued.

"You know, I really don't know about that. It's tough to say. I think we did some good things the first two years. Ultimately, we made the playoffs the first year, didn't make a playoff run, you know we lost to the Saints, but I think there's been a lot of good done here. I just think this year's been really tough for us and I'm not sure what the best move is moving forward, but you never know what's going to happen."
