New York Woman Suing KFC For $20 Million Over False Advertising Of Bucket Of Chicken

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. (CBS) -- A New York woman is hoping her lawsuit is finger licking good.

The New York Post reports 64-year-old Anna Wurtzburger, of Hopewell Junction, New York, is suing KFC for $20 million over false advertising because the bucket of chicken she received wasn't full enough like she saw in the fast-food company's advertisements.

"I came home and said, 'Where's the chicken?' I thought I was going to have a couple of meals," Wurtzburger told The Post about the $20 bucket of chicken she bought at KFC over the summer.

She continued, "They say it feeds the whole family. They're showing a bucket that's overflowing with chicken. You get half a bucket. That's false advertising, and it doesn't feed the whole family. They're small pieces."

Wurtburger said she called KFC's corporate headquarters to complain. The company sent her two gift certificates, but she returned them. She then hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit last month.

"If you want the public to look at your chicken, put it in a dish," she told The Post. "It's a lot of BS. I expect to get what you're telling me."

KFC told The Post that the lawsuit is "meritless."
