I-95 Southbound Reopens After Tractor Trailer Crash Near Airport

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Interstate 95 has reopened after being shut down for several hours after a tractor-trailer crash near the airport early Friday morning.

The accident happened at about 3:00 a.m. Friday in the southbound lanes at Island Avenue near the Philadelphia International Airport.

A tractor trailer lost control and tipped over on its side.

As a result of the crash, police closed I-95 at Broad Street to motorists.

All lanes of traffic were fully reopened at about 8 a.m.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
