Police: Injured, Bleeding Man Found On South Jersey Roadway Was Stabbed, Beaten

ABSECON, N.J. (AP) — An injured, bleeding man found staggering along a southern New Jersey roadway told authorities that he had been robbed and stabbed, and police don't think the incident was a random attack.

Absecon police say officers found the man around 1:20 a.m. Saturday after numerous callers reported that he was trying to flag down passing motorists.

The 18-year-old man told police he had been stabbed and sprayed in the face with a chemical, then assaulted before being forced into a vehicle.

The man told police he was robbed, and beaten further, before being dumped out of the vehicle. The people involved in the attack then drove off.

The man was treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries, but further details on his condition were not released.
