Gov. Christie Headlining Washington Dinner Event

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie will deliver a speech in front of hundreds of New Jersey lawmakers and business leaders gathered in Washington.

The Thursday evening remarks will serve as the keynote of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce's annual "Walk to Washington" event that has brought hundreds of legislators, business owners and lobbyists to the nation's capital.

The event will take place at Washington's Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

He will also be attending Republican Governors Association events later in the week. He served as chair of the group last year.

Christie has been traveling to key early voting states as he considers a run for president in 2016.

He's scheduled to return to the area next week for a meet-and-greet in Virginia co-hosted by former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
