Eagles' RB Among Top 10 Under-The-Radar NFL Players

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- When most people think of the Philadelphia Eagles' running backs, they think of Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles.

But one guy who is flying under-the-radar is fifth-round draft pick from West Virgina, Wendell Smallwood. According to an NFL.com list, Smallwood (5,11", 201-pounds) is among the top 10 NFL players who deserve more attention.

"Smallwood has been described by various Eagles beat writers as "very impressive" catching passes, a potential first-year "feature back" and the "key" to Philly's ground game," NFL.com's Marc Sessler wrote. "Ryan Mathews won't be kicked to the curb, but the versatile Smallwood drew praise from coach Doug Pederson as an "explosive" new piece of the attack. Barring another offseason trope, Smallwood's set to make an impact out of the gate."

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Ladarius Green is No. 1 on the list, veteran RB Frank Gore is No. 8. You can see the full list here.
