Eagles Agree To 4-Year Deal With Rookie DB JaCorey Shepherd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles are continuing to agree to deals with their new crop of rookies. On Tuesday, the team agreed to terms on a 4-year deal with DB JaCorey Shepherd.

Shepherd was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round with the 191st overall selection. Shepherd comes to the Eagles from Kansas where he switched to cornerback after being recruited and playing his freshman season as a wide receiver.

The Texas native is 5'11", 199 lbs, and hopes to compete for a spot in the Eagles secondary which has seen a lot of transition this off-season.

Shepherd amassed 90 tackles and five interceptions in his time at Kansas.

Shepherd becomes the fifth Eagles rookie to sign meaning that just third round pick Jordan Hicks is without a contract.
