Drexel Hill Fire Prompts Evacuation Of Church Day Care

DREXEL HILL, Pa. (CBS) — A church fire in Drexel Hill forced the evacuation of a day care on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire happened at the Church of the Holy Comforter on Burmont Road.

Firefighters targeted the steeple, where heavy smoke and flames were reported just after 2 p.m.

The day care center attached to the church was evacuated as a precaution.

No injuries were reported.
