Corbett Pushes For Pension Reform As Budget Bill Remains Unsigned

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Governor Corbett said Wednesday his review of the budget bill on his desk was continuing. Pennsylvania is now beginning the third day of the fiscal year without a new spending plan.
Governor Corbett says he's not linking the budget to pension reform, but again calls for action on that issue, and criticizes the House vote Tuesday to refer a pension bill back to committee:
"It was disappointing to see members use a procedural maneuver to disguise the fact that they cannot stand up to the special interests."
But what happens to the budget if he doesn't get a pension bill?
"All options are on the table," Corbett said about possibly vetoing the budget.
Moments after Corbett's comments, the pension reform bill was kicked back out of committee and back the House floor, but only after the majority leader indicated there will be discussions over the summer… and that the pension issue will not taken up until fall.
