Cops: 3 Arrested After Alleged Drug Deal Interrupted -- Next To Haddon Township Police Station
HADDON Twp., N.J., (CBS) – Police say three people were arrested after plainclothes detectives interrupted an alleged narcotics transaction in a shopping center parking lot -- located directly next to the Haddon Township Police Department.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday on Haddon Avenue in the town's Westmont section.
According to police, detectives saw three people lingering suspiciously around a parked vehicle in the parking lot. Police say detectives saw a woman allegedly hand one of the men a large prescription bottle.
Police say the man was then observed allegedly counting out the contents of the bottle and then handing money to the third suspect.
Detectives arrested 31-year-old Crystal Clark, of Gloucester City, 23-year-old Ryan Watson, of Haddon Township, and 31-year-old Christopher Dayhoff of Norwood, Pa.
Police say they were each charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute a schedule III drug.
In all, 28 Suboxone films were recovered by police.
