Board Increases Tuition At Penn State University

LEHMAN, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania residents studying at Penn State next year are going to have to dig 2.3 percent deeper next year to pay tuition at the main campus in State College.

The university board on Friday voted for the undergraduate tuition increase, along with smaller hikes for many of the university's other campuses.

The typical student at the main campus will be paying about $28,000 next year, including food and lodging.

The board, meeting at its Wilkes-Barre branch campus, also voted unanimously to make Philadelphia investment fund manager Ira Lubert its chairman, succeeding Keith Masser.
