Authorities: Drunken Driver Hits New Jersey Police Cruiser, Injures Officer

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) —Authorities say a woman was driving drunk when she collided with a police cruiser in southern New Jersey, leaving her and the officer injured.

Franklin Township police say Angela Feaster is charged with assault by auto and drunken driving. The 36-year-old Glassboro woman also faces three counts of child endangerment because her three children were in her car.

The crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Friday on Route 40. Authorities say Feaster ran a stop sign and struck the cruiser driven by township officer Clifford Trovillo.

Trovillo remained hospitalized Saturday with a concussion, two broken wrists and a broken ankle. The 14-year veteran was listed in good condition.

Feaster suffered a broken ankle, and one of her children was being evaluated for possible internal injuries.
