Annenberg Center Live Entertains Patients At Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Kids at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia got a free preview Wednesday morning of an annual festival being held a few blocks away.

Children in the CHOP atrium were spellbound by the Nashville-based juggling, mime and comedy troupe called 'Playing by Air.' The performance was staged to promote this year's International Children's Festival at Penn's Annenberg Center.

Center spokeswoman Dawn Frisby-Byers says the festival, now in its 32nd year, exposes kids to culture and the performing arts.

"Giving children the opportunity to see theater, see dance and interact with other kids while they're doing that is very important to us."

The festival at the Annenberg Center at 37th and Walnut runs Thursday, June 2 through Saturday, June 4. Tickets are $10.
