I-95 South in Delaware County, Pennsylvania reopens after crash backed up traffic for miles

Traffic detoured away from I-95 South because of crash in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania

I-95 South in Delaware County, Pennsylvania reopened shortly after midnight after a crash backed up traffic for miles Thursday evening.

The roadway shut down following a major crash that happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night, police said. 

Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene of the crash prior to Exit 7 for Route 476 on I-95 South. 

CBS News Philadelphia has reached out to officials for more information regarding this crash and are awaiting a response. 

Chopper 3 captured several emergency vehicles at the scene in Ridley Park.
