Weather-Related Problems Cause Delays For Metro-North, NJ TRANSIT Commuters

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Trains are back on schedule again after weather-related problems caused delays for commuters Thursday morning.

There had been delays of up to 45 minutes on Metro-North's Hudson and New Haven lines after power problems in the Park Avenue Tunnel and in the area of Pelham.

In Pelham, Stamford-bound New Haven Line trains coasted up to the platform. MTA staffers with a long pole then nudged the overhead gear for a connection, WCBS 880's Paul Murnane reported. That is where trains switch from overhead to third-rail power.
