Missing 10-year-old girl found unharmed after leaving Jersey City mall with unknown man, N.J. police say

A 10-year-old girl that went missing from a mall in New Jersey has been found unjharmed, Jersey City police said Monday.

The family said they last saw the girl at home in Jersey City around 7 a.m. Thursday. She was later seen on surveillance leaving Newport Centre Mall around 7:45 p.m.

She appeared to be walking toward Newport Parkway with a man.

Police say someone called in a tip, and she was found unharmed at 1 p.m. Monday at the Salem-Lafayette apartment complex. She is undergoing a medical evaluation as a precaution.
