Person Struck By Metro-North Train In White Plains; Harlem Line Snagged

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- The Harlem Line on the Metro-North Railroad was delayed late Tuesday, after a person was struck by a train in White Plains.

The person was struck by a southbound train somewhere south of the White Plains station Tuesday night, Metro-North told CBS2.

The incident was believed to have happened away from the station, and the person who was struck was a trespasser, Metro-North said.

The condition of the person struck was not immediately available.

Metro-North reported delays of 30 to 35 minutes on the Harlem Line following the incident.
