Joe Biden To Return To 'The Late Show' With Stephen Colbert

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden is returning to "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.''

Biden is a scheduled guest on Tuesday's edition for what will be his first talk-show appearance since the 2016 presidential election, CBS announced. He first appeared with Colbert on "The Late Show'' in September 2015.

While Biden's September 2015 appearance on "The Late Show" was expected to take on a light and comedic tone, it instead veered almost immediately into raw and personal territory. During the interview, Biden expressed his opinions on the then upcoming presidential election, and expressed doubts on whether his family had the energy to run following his son Beau Biden's death in May 205 due to brain cancer.
