Cops: Visibly Intoxicated Man Driving 2016 Audi Leads Police On Chase

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A New York man has been arrested after allegedly driving over 100 miles-per-hour in his luxury sports vehicle while visibly intoxicated, police said.

Jimmy Pierre, 26, of Spring Valley, was driving a 2016 Audi at speeds of 127 mph at around 3:14 a.m. on Dec. 20, cops said. According to police, Pierre led officers on a 3-mile chase before he was successfully pulled over.

Police said Pierre and his passenger, Vanessa Barreto, 26, also of Spring Valley, were belligerent and hostile upon arrest. Five grams of marijuana were also found in Pierre's possession, cops said.

Pierre, who refused to take a breathalyzer test, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing of a police officer, disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of marijuana, along with several traffic violations.

Pierre was arraigned in Clarkstown Court and is currently being held in Rockland County Jail.
