Police: Jersey City Store Owner Found Shot To Death

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after a clothing store owner was killed during a robbery Saturday in Jersey City.

Authorities said the owner of Top Plus clothing store in the Bergen Square neighborhood was found shot inside the store around 4:30 p.m.

No one else was injured, according to police sources, but the owner was shot once, if not twice, in the head and killed, CBS2's Brian Conybeare reported.

"I live right here and I never heard, like, about crime and stuff like that," one neighbor said. "It's really scary."

The victim's name has not been released. There is no word on a suspect or any arrests in the case.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is also investigating.
