FBI: Suspect Wanted In String Of Police Impersonation Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FBI and the NYPD on Wednesday were asking for help from the public in finding a Brooklyn man who allegedly posed as police officer while committing several robberies.

Ringo Delcid is a suspected street gang member, and is wanted for several armed police impersonation robberies in Brooklyn and Queens, the FBI said.

The FBI did not provide details on the robberies.

Delcid, 26, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, the FBI said. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was born in Panama, police said.

He is often referred to as "Castro," "Ringo Castro," or "Ringo Halister Del Cid Carillo," the FBI said.

The FBI said Delcid should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
